Two 19^th century masterworks plus a recent composition by noted Bay Area composer Henry Mollicone, each illustrating a triumph of the spirit.




Before the concert, Henry Mollicone will introduce Final Light – the inspiration for composing it, themes and the creative process of composing, and answer questions. This event is underwritten by Meet the Composer, Inc.

The perfect way to celebrate the opening of the holiday season! Based on E.T.A. Hoffman’s The Story of the Nutcracker & the Mouse King, Clara’s dreamlike journey through the Land of Sweets never fails to delight both children and adults. Choreographed by Yoko Young with dancers from Yoko’s Dance and Performing Arts Academy, guest  artists and local celebrities, with Tchaikovsky’s glorious music performed by the Fremont Symphony.

After the matinees, bring your children or grandchildren to the Sugar Plum Party, where they can meet the costumed dancers and enjoy holiday treats.

A glorious bounty of American favorites, from Copland’s Fanfare for the Common Man to Gershwin’s Rhapsody in Blue with pianist Aileen Chanco. Includes music by Richard Rodgers, Stephen Sondheim, Leonard Bernstein, Meredith Willson, George M. Cohan and John Philip Sousa.
