Now beginning his 31st season as Music Director and Conductor of the Fremont
Symphony, David Sloss has led the orchestra through its development into a
fully professional symphony, recently hailed as a “stunningly polished orchestra
ensemble.” He is also founding Artistic Director of Fremont Opera, which
celebrated its inaugural season in 2007. He has conducted Fremont Opera
Productions of La Bohème and The Barber of Seville, and will be on the podium
for La Traviata in 2010.

Maestro Sloss served as General Director of West Bay Opera in Palo Alto from
1997 to 2005, and conducted over 20 opera productions there during his long
association with the company. From 1970 until 1997, he was Professor of Music
at Sonoma State University. He holds degrees in music from Harvard College
and Stanford University.
